The former president of an El Cajon real estate investment firm and one of his employees went on trial Tuesday on 181 counts of grand theft and security sales violations.

Paul John Boileau, 44, of El Cajon, and Lillian Louise Stagliano, 43, of Coronado, are accused of violations in connection with the operations of Boileau & Johnson Co., which went bankrupt in June, 1982.

After two weeks of jury selection, a four-woman, eight-man jury was chosen.

The charges reflect the $1 million lost by 54 investors between January and June in 1982.
