El Toro : Drug-Sex Case Delayed Pending New Charges

Share

A preliminary hearing for an El Toro man accused of supplying drugs to teen-age girls in exchange for sex was postponed until Oct. 22 at the request of defense attorneys after prosecutors announced that they intend to file additional felony counts against Felix Florencio Maron.

Maron, 53, now faces 99 counts of having unlawful sex with minors and furnishing cocaine arising from allegations that he used the drug to lure underage girls to his home for sex. However, Deputy Dist. Atty. Jill Roberts said Tuesday that she plans to file another 37 counts against Maron.

William Charvet, Maron’s attorney, said he asked South County Municipal Judge Blair Barnett for the additional time so he can study the new charges.

Maron was arrested at his El Toro home Aug. 16 and has been held without bail because of an alleged threat he made to kill one of the victims.
