I congratulate The Times on the series of articles exploring day care centers, their promise and pitfalls. As the only candidate for City Council actively calling for a program to end child molestation, abuse and neglect in San Diego, I’m glad your paper brought to light some of the mysteries of this industry.
Child molestation, abuse and neglect cases have increased by 10% in the last year alone in San Diego. I hope your coverage will help put a stop to these heinous crimes.
