Staten Island Ferry Saved From Grounding

NEW YORK —
A Staten Island ferry carrying more than 5,000 passengers lost power in New York Harbor this morning and nearly slammed into a rocky ledge off Governor’s Island.
Petty Officer Greg Creedon said a Coast Guard rescue boat got a line to the ferry minutes before it would have gone aground.
