May Department Stores Co., based in St. Louis, named Robert L. Ferguson president and chief executive of May Centers Inc., its shopping center division. William E. Grafstrom continues as May Centers’ chairman. Ferguson had been serving as executive vice president of development for the division. He will report to Thomas A. Hays, president of the parent firm.
