United Airlines announced a series of management changes triggered by its acquisition of Pan Am’s Pacific division: Joseph R. Byerwalter, senior vice president and general manager of the Western division in San Francisco, becomes senior vice president of management information systems in Chicago, responsible for the computer and communications services division and development center; Donald M. Moonjian was named to the new position of senior vice president and general manager-Pacific division; James E. Goodwin becomes senior vice president-marketing services at the executive offices, responsible for advertising, promotion, scheduling, inventory management, pricing, customer-services planning, reservations planning and aircraft-product planning, and Christopher D. Bowers, former Chicago hub manager and acting vice president-market management, becomes vice president-market management.
