Rapunzel, Let Down Your Monofibre

Share

Yesterday your Valley teen-ager cut off all her hair because she wanted to look punk. Today your Valley teen-ager wishes she had long hair like Madonna’s.

What can she do? How about hair extensions? That’s hair that is braided into your own hair and makes long hair--as long as three or four feet. They last up to four months and are made of Monofibre, a simulated hair imported from England.

“They tangle around your neck at first,” one Valley girl explains, “but then you get used to them. You wash them just like regular hair except you use fabric softener instead of conditioner.”

Of course, as with all things, there is a catch. If you want to braid Monofibre into your own hair, which they’ll do at Antenna in Reseda for about $150, your own hair has to be at least three inches long.
