Grant Awarded for Addition to USC Law Center
The USC Law School has been awarded a $600,000 challenge grant by the Kresge Foundation that will be used for an addition to the Law Center building. The money will become available when all other building funds have been raised.
Scott Brice, dean of the Law Center, said the estimated total cost of the addition is $9.5 million, which includes funds for renovation of existing areas and an endowment for maintenance and operating costs. The school has received gifts and firm pledges totaling $7.4 million.
The 40,000-square-foot addition will be built on the east side of the existing Musick Law building and will be used for an expansion of the Law Center library, the establishment of programs in advocacy and associated skills, and faculty offices.
