Rep. Barnes to Run for Senate Seat in Maryland

WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Michael D. Barnes (D-Md.) will seek the Senate seat to be vacated by Sen. Charles McC. Mathias Jr. (R-Md.) in 1986, Barnes’ spokesman said Sunday.
