Truman Cabinet Member Dies

CHARLESTON, S.C. —
John Wesley Snyder, a secretary of the Treasury during President Harry S. Truman’s Administration, died today at his home on Seabrook Island, his daughter said. He was 90.
Serving under his friend, Truman, between 1945 and 1953, he was involved in the Administration’s programs to help West Germany and Japan rebuild following World War II.
