4 Railroads Get Loans to Improve Facilities

WASHINGTON —
The Federal Railroad Administration has awarded loans to four regional railroads totaling $16.1 million to improve their facilities, the agency announced Monday.
It said a $4.1-million loan was given to Delaware Otsego Corp.’s New York, Susquehanna & Western Railway; $2.4 million to the Michigan Interstate Railway Co.; $3.4 million to the Detroit & Mackinac Railway and $6.2 million to the Heartland Rail Corp.
