Orion Pictures Corp. posted a $5.9-million loss...

Orion Pictures Corp. posted a $5.9-million loss for the second quarter ended Aug. 31 on revenue of $42.4 million. For the like quarter a year earlier, Orion posted net income of $259,000 on revenue of $51.4 million. The company attributed the loss principally to disappointing domestic theatrical revenue from films released during the quarter, each of which broke even. In addition, revenue from motion pictures available for cable exhibition during the quarter declined and interest expense increased.
