The Costa Mesa office of the accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins and Sells has named Michael Takaki to head the firm’s new Japanese Industries Services Group. Takaki’s new role was specially created for him because of the increased presence of Japanese industry in Orange County, a spokesman said.

Among other duties, Takaki, 32, will work with Long Beach city officials in the building of the Long Beach World Trade Center, a five-tower complex and a joint venture between IDM and Kajima of Japan scheduled to be completed in late 1987. Deloitte, Haskins and Sells is auditor for the trade center.
