Diamond Bar
A 24-hour emergency treatment center has opened in Diamond Bar, the first within a five-mile radius of the unincorporated area, said Gary Lawson, spokesman for the Diamond Bar Medical Center. Located at 401 S. Prospectors Road, near the Orange Freeway, it is equipped for all emergencies and is easily accessible to the Phillips Ranch, Walnut and Rowland Heights areas, Lawson said. He suggested, however, that those with “life-threatening” injuries be taken to area hospitals rather than the center because it is not equipped for major surgery.
