Arco Petroleum Products Co., a division of Atlantic Richfield, will locate its new engineering and technology group in Anaheim, the group’s manager announced Thursday.

About 100 employees, including support staff from the company’s headquarters in Los Angeles and engineers from Arco’s recently closed technical center in Harvey, Ill., will be relocated to offices in a West Crescent Avenue complex, Abe W. Johnson said. Several research test units also will be housed there.

The move is expected to start in mid-October and take about two months, an Arco spokesman said Thursday.

“This location suits our need to provide our employees a good place to work that is close to our major operations and headquarters,” Johnson said.

The APPC group, which will have an estimated annual budget of $13 million, will assist Arco’s marketing operations and its two West Coast refineries, in Carson and Washington state, in process design, engineering services, project management, fuels, and environmental and health services.
