Two Olson Industries Executives Promoted

Peter D. Olson and Richard G. Olson were promoted from vice president to president of two egg distribution subsidiaries of Olson Industries.
Peter D. Olson was named president of Olson Farms and Cackle Fresh Egg Farms, wholly owned subsidiaries of Olson Industries that produce and distribute eggs in California, Arizona and Hawaii. He retains his current title of general manager of the subsidiaries.
Richard G. Olson was named president and will remain the general manager of Dal-Worth/Olson Egg Farms and Fairview Egg Farms, wholly owned subsidiaries that produce and distribute eggs in Arkansas, New Mexico and Texas.
Olson Industries’ chairman and chief executive, John W. Buffington, had been president of the four units. He remains chief executive of the subsidiaries.
Sherman Oaks-based Olson Industries is the eighth-largest egg distributor in the United States. The company has been racked in recent months by a legal battle between the two brothers who founded it, C. Dean Olson and H. Glenn Olson. Peter D. Olson is the son of C. Dean Olson, and Richard G. Olson is the son of H. Glenn Olson.
