Scott Paper Co. reported that its third-quarter net income grew 13%. Scott said the increase was principally due to a strong performance by Scott’s domestic and international sanitary paper products businesses. The company also said its printing and publishing paper business declined from 1984’s strong third quarter, while pulp operations continued to show significantly lower results.
