Heavy security surrounded nearly 1,200 mourners at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Orange on Tuesday during services for Alex M. Odeh, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee executive killed by a bomb in the committee’s Santa Ana offices last week. Former U.S. Sen. James G. Abourezk, national chairman of the committee, said Odeh “had been able to see the despair felt by those Palestinians whose lives have been trashed by the greed of the rulers of Israel.
