El Toro : Tattooed Gunman in Wig Robs Drug Store

A gunman with a turquoise tattoo on the back of his neck and wearing a curly, blond woman’s wig robbed an El Toro Thrifty Drug and Discount Store of $200 on Tuesday night, Orange County sheriff’s detectives said. Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said the man, who appeared to be in his early 20s, entered the store at 23821 El Toro Road at about 8:30 p.m. wearing a green military fatigue jacket and blue jeans, and threatened a clerk with a .45-caliber pistol. A witness who saw the man running through a parking lot behind the store said the man took off the wig as he ran, revealing medium-length brown hair.
