Satellite Dish Ordinance: The City Council has approved an ordinance regulating use of satellite dish antennas, which are used to receive television programs. Under the new law, dish operators must receive a business permit, the price of which varies. A $3,000 antenna, for example, would cost an applicant $49.50 for a permit and $32.05 for a city inspection. The ordinance, which also limits the size of the antennas, will not affect the 25 to 30 existing antennas in the city.
