Schlumberger Ltd. reported that its third-quarter net income declined 32% from the like 1984 quarter. Third-quarter revenue dipped 3.7% from a year earlier. The company attributed the lower earnings to losses at its Fairchild Semiconductor and Computer Aided Systems units and to lower earnings at its Wireline subsidiary.
