McDonald’s, Sixpence Inn to Share $11.8-Million Site

In two concurrent transactions representing a combined value of $11.8 million, McDonald’s Corp. has signed a 55-year lease on 3.27 acres of undeveloped land in Chula Vista, and sublet a portion of the property to Sixpence Inns of America. Iliff, Thorn & Co. represented all parties.
McDonald’s plans to build a 4,000-square-foot restaurant on the site; Sixpence Inns will construct a three-story, 170-unit motel. Building will begin this month.
