Three more Oriental fruit flies have been found in traps in Norwalk, Paramount and western Long Beach. As a result, the county’s eradication program has been expanded by 27 square miles, Los Angeles County Agriculture Commissioner Paul Engler said. A total of 73 square miles is being treated with bait traps used in lieu of ground and aerial spraying, he said.
