Anheuser-Busch Cos. Has Record Quarter, 9 Months

Anheuser-Busch Cos. had a record performance for the third quarter and nine months.
The company reported record gross sales of $2.01 billion for the third quarter of 1985, an increase of 3.5% over gross sales of $1.95 billion for the third quarter of 1984. Gross sales for the first nine months of 1985 were $5.83 billion, an increase of 7.4% over gross sales of $5.43 billion for the like period in 1984.
Net income for the third quarter of 1985 was $143.6 million, an increase of 11.7%, compared to $128.5 million for the third quarter of 1984.
