Landmark Bank to Open in Santa Fe Springs

Share

Hoping to capitalize on a redevelopment boom in Santa Fe Springs, La Habra-based Landmark Bank plans to open a new branch in the center of the city in mid-December. The oil and railroad interests that have long dominated the small, blue-collar city are giving way to light manufacturing and office buildings, said Craig Collette, Landmark’s president.

He noted that some 1.5 million square feet of office space already is under construction in Santa Fe Springs and said the bank wants to capture a portion of the commercial loans that the new market will be seeking. Landmark, which has branches in La Habra, Anaheim and Lake Forest, reported assets of $110 million at the end of its third quarter Sept. 30, compared to $91 million in assets for the same period last year.
