Dart & Kraft Inc., citing lower results from its consumer products group, said its third-quarter profits slipped 1% from a year earlier as sales rose 4%. The company said third-quarter operating earnings by its food products group climbed to $173.9 million from $151.6 million a year ago. But operating earnings from consumer products skidded 50% to $17.5 million from $35 million.
