Liza Minnelli, in what is called her television drama debut, stars in “A Time to Live,” a new TV movie airing Monday at 9 p.m. on NBC (Channels 4, 36, 39).
Minnelli plays out the real-life story of author Mary-Lou Weisman, who must come to grips with the reality that her son has muscular dystrophy.
The cast includes Jeffrey De Munn as Mary-Lou’s husband, Corey Haim as their afflicted child, Scott Schwartz as their older son and Swoozie Kurtz as a friend.
