Burt Lancaster, Richard Crenna and Paul Le Mat will star in “On Wings of Eagles,” a five-hour miniseries for NBC. It’s based on Ken Follett’s book about the rescue of two American businessmen during the 1979 revolution in Iran. Lancaster and Le Mat play the leaders of the assault; Crenna will portray the industrialist who wants his executives saved.

“Magnum, P.I.” has a special episode in store Thursday as Magnum returns to his family’s home in Virginia. It’s special for series star Tom Selleck too: His father, Robert Selleck, portrays Magnum’s grandfather. Also in the cast is Gwen Verdon as Selleck’s mother.

It’s reunion time again as yet another old TV show comes back with a “what are they doing now?” type of special. With “Perry Mason,” “I Dream of Jeannie” and “The Andy Griffith Show” already slated for airing this season, CBS has ordered “Kung Fu: The Movie,” starring David Carradine as the mystic character he portrayed on ABC from 1972 to 1975. Also back from the original cast are Keye Luke as Master Po and Benson Fong as the Old One.
