Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the apparently unrelated deaths of two unidentified men whose remains were discovered Saturday in isolated sections of east San Diego County.

A sheriff deputy said that the skeletal remains of a man were found Saturday morning by hunters off Buckman Springs Road in Campo. At about 1 p.m. the decomposing fully-clothed body of another man was found in the Borrego desert, about two miles west of the Imperial County line.

The county coroner’s office is attempting to identify the two men.
