6-Year Term Issued in Reseda Molestations
A 72-year-old retired aircraft mechanic has been sentenced to six years in prison for sexually molesting his 12-year-old granddaughter and his neighbor’s 14-year-old daughter.
San Fernando Superior Court Judge John H. Major ordered the prison term Monday for Alfred Rodger Creasy despite a probation officer’s recommendation that Creasy be granted probation because of his age and the fact that he had no criminal record.
Creasy, a former Reseda resident who now lives in Clovis, pleaded guilty in July to two counts of sexual acts with minors. According to a probation report, Creasy molested the children repeatedly from January, 1984, through last March in Reseda. He was arrested in April.
“He hasn’t shown remorse,” Major said before imposing the sentence. “He continues to say he was enticed into these situations. I have children. I have grandchildren. I have to protect society.”
Creasy will be eligible for parole after serving three years, Deputy Dist. Atty. Kenneth Loveman said.
