JOHANNESBURG, South Africa —
A powerful bomb exploded in an office building in the heart of Johannesburg today shattering windows and causing one white woman to be treated for shock, a spokesman for the city’s emergency services said.
The bomb went off in the hallway opposite a bank of elevators on the fourth floor of the Foschini building in the center of Johannesburg. Most office workers in the building had already left for the day. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
