Relatives of one of six Americans held hostage in Lebanon said they are withdrawing from the recently formed American Hostage Committee because they fear the group may be linked to the Palestine Liberation Organization. Family members of Father Lawrence Jenco, cited a recent editorial in the New York Post charging that the committee “was organized and supported by Arab and PLO lobbyists (who are) using it to poison the U.S.-Israeli friendship. . . .” Relatives of other hostages who belong to the committee have called the editorial “irresponsible.”
