Rancho Vista Single-Family Home Development Opens

Rancho Vista One opens today in Palmdale as the first group of single-family homes in the 1,314-acre Rancho Vista development, which is planned for a final total of 7,700 housing units along with tennis, golf and swimming facilities and commercial projects.

The first phase of the eventual 96-unit group numbers 34 three- and four-bedroom, two-bath homes ranging in size from 1,359 to 1,736 square feet and priced from $93,450 to $110,450. First move-ins are scheduled in January.

Homes are offered in 12 elevations by Frank Gonzales, the architectural designer, who utilized Spanish-type stylings with stucco exteriors, fired-tile roofs and masonry. Front yards are landscaped and fenced and the homes have two- and three-car garages.

Living rooms feature vaulted ceilings and wood-burning fireplaces with gas lighters. Kitchens include hardwood cabinets, ceramic tile counter tops, self-cleaning double ovens and dishwashers.

Four models furnished by Bobbie Stearns Interiors of El Toro are open Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and at 10 a.m. on weekends, closing every day at 7 p.m. at 45th Street and Avenue N-8.
