Pauley Petroleum said it sold a Texas gas field.

The Los Angeles-based independent refiner sold its Eldorado gas field in Schleicher County for $4.93 million in cash. It would not disclose the purchaser. The company said the sale of the field would result in a $2.2-million pretax gain for the company, which would be used to retire debt and for working capital.
