‘The Reagan World View’

Thank you for your editorial. It is a succinct analysis of the rhetoric at the General Assembly meeting of the United Nations. You write: “It was not a speech designed to reassure a nuclear-anxious world.”

The President’s Strategic Defense Initiative, “Star Wars,” is just so much hogwash in face of the actuality of the atomic bomb. No serious scientist has any hope for this defense.

His philosophy is down right dangerous and unacceptable to any bargaining opponent.

We are all concerned for the outcome of the Geneva summit and Reagan is not allaying our worries.
