The Belzbergs filed suit against Potlatch Corp.

The Belzberg family of Vancouver, Canada, filed the lawsuit in federal court in New York to block a “poison pill” anti-takeover plan that the forest products company has proposed. The Belzbergs have offered a total of $692.5 million for the outstanding shares of the San Francisco-based company. The Belzbergs are making their offer through First City Financial Corp.
