CALIFORNIA - News from Nov. 7, 1985

Paul Dali, president and chief operating officer of Regis McKenna Inc., was given the additional title of chief executive Wednesday. Founder Regis McKenna relinquished that post but remains chairman of the Palo Alto-based public relations firm.

Dali, 42, will be responsible for all operating, financial, planning and management aspects of the company. McKenna will devote his time to developing new marketing and communications products for the company.

Dali, former general manager of Apple Computer’s Apple II division, joined Regis McKenna in 1983 as vice president of strategic marketing consulting services. The agency specializes in high-technology clients, including Apple.
