Arcadia : Acting Chief Gets the Job

Capt. Neal Johnson, acting Arcadia Police Chief since early July, has been named to the post that became vacant when Charles Mitchell retired because of poor health. Mitchell died in August. Johnson, 50, joined the department in 1956 as a patrolman and in 1978 was named captain. His selection was announced Tuesday night.
