Kellen Winslow rejoined the San Diego Chargers after skipping a practice session to protest the limited time he has played since he returned three weeks ago from a severe knee injury.

The tight end drew the maximum $500 fine for missing a team meeting and light workout Monday, Charger Coach Don Coryell said. The team was off Tuesday.

Winslow, a three-time All-Pro selection, had traveled to Vancouver, Canada, Monday to promote a health beverage for athletes. Winslow is a stockholder in the company that makes the drink.
