Belgian Leftists Vow to Crush ‘Bourgeois’ State
Belgium’s Fighting Communist Cells guerrilla group, which has claimed responsibility for attacks on four banks this week, said in a communique that it intends to crush the “bourgeois” state.
In a slickly printed pamphlet containing photographs of the four banks hit on Monday and Tuesday, the group said it will not compromise in its effort to set up a dictatorship of the proletariat along Marxist-Leninist lines.
The communique was mailed to news organizations from the southern city of Charleroi, where two of the attacks took place.
The organization has claimed responsibility for 24 attacks on a wide range of political, business and North Atlantic Treaty Organization-related targets since it launched its campaign of violence in October, 1984.
