Share

A professional library, with more than 20,000 books for attorneys, accountants and others, will be featured in the $23-million, 300,000-square-foot Courtland Building scheduled for completion early next year at 26th Street and Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica.

The five-story building--currently 30% leased to law firms will have a complete library staffed by professional librarians, according to Deborah Schwarz, general partner of Library Management Systems, the consulting firm that is planning and will maintain the library.

The building is a development of Campeau Corp. and Cadham Sedgwick Properties of California. The architect is the Landau Partnership Inc., Santa Monica. The leasing agent is Century Commercial Brokerage, Santa Monica.

The library will have a complete California and federal law library, a collection of specialized treatises covering important areas of law, law reviews, newsletters and legal and business newspapers. It will also have state, county, city and other local regulations, as well as the Code of Federal Regulations and the Federal Register, Schwarz said.
