Coastal raised the price it pays for crude oil.

The Houston-based oil company said it increased the price it will pay for West Texas Intermediate crude oil, the U.S. benchmark, by 25 cents to $28 a barrel, retroactive to Nov. 1. The company said the increases were in response to competitive pricing pressures.
