The World : Tass Assails Reagan Speech
The official Tass news agency criticized President Reagan’s radio speech to the Soviet people, saying it was full of propaganda and demonstrated that Washington does not intend to do its part toward curbing the arms race. The Reagan speech was broadcast to the Soviet Union on the Voice of America. Tass charged that “the President’s entourage” is moving to obscure the main issues of security and disarmament “with verbosity in favor of peace.”
