Geldof Starts New Fund-raising Drive

London — The 2-year-old daughter of Irish rock star Bob Geldof switched on Christmas lights in London’s biggest shopping street to launch a new fund-raising drive for starving Africans.
Geldof, who has helped raise more than $80 million for famine relif, said he hoped to collect $1 million from shoppers viewing the traditional Christmas lights in central London’s Oxford Street.
