Hughes Communications Mobile Satellite Services and Telesat Canada said they agreed to cooperate in the development and operation of commercial mobile satellite systems in the United States and Canada. The systems will use specially launched satellites to provide two-way mobile voice and data communications services to remote areas and to cars, airplanes, trains and trucks. Hughes Communications Mobile Satellite Services is a subsidiary of Hughes Communications, which is a unit of Hughes Aircraft.
