Ban on Jordan Arms Sale OKd

WASHINGTON —
A resolution already passed by the Senate that blocks, at least until March 1, President Reagan’s proposed sale of U.S. arms to Jordan won final congressional approval in the House today.
The sale of advanced warplanes, missiles and other equipment valued at up to $2 billion could proceed sooner under terms of the measure if Jordan and Israel begin “direct and meaningful” peace negotiations.
