U.S., Vietnam to Dig at Crash Site

BANGKOK, Thailand —
U.S. military officials arrived in Hanoi today to discuss American servicemen listed as missing in action in Vietnam and to excavate a B-52 crash site in the first such joint U.S.-Vietnamese effort.
The excavation of the 1972 site will begin Monday but will be preceded by talks aimed at pinpointing the locations of other crash sites and other areas in Vietnam where American MIA remains may be found.
