Fire Damages GOP Washington Offices

WASHINGTON —
A fire of suspicious origin erupted early today at the Republican National Committee headquarters, city fire officials said.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control at about 4 a.m. No injuries were reported, but the building suffered heavy water and smoke damage. The committee had reported several bomb threats in recent weeks.
