Cyprus to Try Briton, 2 Palestinians as Slayers
Two Palestinians and an Englishman were ordered Wednesday to stand trial Jan. 20 for killing three Israelis in the marina of the Cypriot port. The late September attack precipitated a retaliatory Israeli raid a week later on Palestine Liberation Organization headquarters in Tunisia, killing more than 70.
The accused are Khaled Abdel-Kader Khatib, 28, a student with a Syrian passport; Abdel-Hakim Khalifa, 29, a laborer possessing a Jordanian passport, and Ian Michael Davison, 27, a former carpenter of Newcastle, England.
