Vietnam asked the United States to send a high-level delegation to Hanoi to speed efforts to account for missing Americans. It also announced it will return the remains of seven more MIAs in 10 to 12 days, after a joint U.S.-Vietnamese excavation of a site where a B-52 bomber crashed outside Hanoi during the Vietnam War. Hanoi announced last August that it had decided to resolve the MIA issue with the United States within two years. It now says higher-level cooperation with Washington could shorten the deadline.
